Unread post by cooldany » Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:48 am

I need some help with them.

I have an exam in a month and i struggle to get them.

How can i improve?
7/8, 9/8, 6/8, (Compound time signatures?) These are what i struggle with.

3/4, 4/4 and 5/4 are easy.

How do i count those ones up there^ How can i practice them?

Thanks for any help UG.

you can pick up 6/8 from field recordings or jazz pretty easily. As for 7 and 9...check out victor wootens parts on Vix9 and Next.

Vix9 is in 9/8 and 9/4, but I'm not sure how much you'll learn from it, but its the only thing I know in that time.
The tapping sequence Vic plays and Belas solo on next are in 7

Pm me and I can send you some stuff in 6/8
