I was just surprised by the timing, not trying to be a conspiracy theorist.

I'd be willing to bet that they've known for a while now and just decided to announce it.

I'm actually anxious to see how they sound without him, it's been a while. Over the last couple of years, I've personally thought Dave's playing has been washed out by their over powering rhythm section. Some of the songs almost sound studio like with Butch filling so much space. I think there will be a definite difference in their sound.

Maybe butch is just tired? They're going to miss him bigtime, he doubles almost all of boyds parts. Losing butch gaining tim, I'll take that trade.
