Dave's part is here on this site. It's the funk intro. The bass tab here does'nt have that intro though. I'm not real sure about how to do it on the bass but I would say probably your bassist should play the same thing. For instance you play down to the open D string that's the last note in dave's part of the intro. When you play the open D have your bassist play his D string on the 12th fret. this will mean you are both playing the same note. from there you stop and he plays the same riff you did just on the bass. When you play it it should sound like a run that spans 2 octaves. I'm guessing on this and I hope this makes sense. If somebody knows better please correct me.Boyd wrote:All I know is its a Cort...I really dont know the model of it cause I've only played it once and I kinda forgot to see what series or model it was....and what version of Ants Marching is it were Dave and Stefan play and where can I get tabs for it?

Ants Marching.
It's in the same key, so the transition is a no-brainer. So is LIOG. Those are two fun ones. Or if you want a slower one, Lover Lay Down.

you better start workin' on one of them soon, if you want to do a good job at the talent show. They take time to get down, ya know, especially the singing while playing it. LIOG is a better full band song, so I'd say do that one, but Say Goodbye is great too.Boyd wrote:ok I've changed my mind again I'm either gonna play Say Goodbye or Lie In Our graves.....Depending on which one I learn first.

ya i was thinking of lover lay down cuz it'd be fun to start out real soft and slow with that and then break in with the main granny riffticohans wrote:Ants Marching.

see, I was thinking Granny first, and then at the end of it, slip into the Ants bridge ("All the little ants are marching"). You could kick back into the first verse at "We all do it the same waaaaaaaayyyy." I just think it would be a cool transition. Whenever you hear songs put together, you always hear the second start right at the beginning. But if you change it up and have a little fun with the order, it'd be pretty cool, I think.

i was thinking play 2 verses/ 2 choruses or so of lld, then substitute the last 2 chords of the chorus for the last 2 before the main riff in granny (F,Csomething). you know what im talkin about right?
i like playing it that way
