n00b needs help!

Hey all!

I just found the site and it rocks. Anyway, here is the request:

I am still learning guitar and while I recognize that Dave's stuff is hard, I have been doing music for years and can't stand beginner songs

It looks like the alternate tab for Crash is pretty easy, but I can't get the hang of the strumming pattern in the intro, I tried watching him on the FF dvd and he's too smooth! I get it mentally but my hand is retarded or something. It kills me that I can play it on the keys and not figure out how to strum this thing!!! Can anyone help me?

Id learn it the drop d way first off, its just too easy to tune to drop d to fuck around with the regular version. I could probably do a recording for you if it would help but my day tomorrow is going to consist of watching football and drinking beer so I wouldnt do it till monday, if you want it then just let me know.

You read Crush just like i did the first read through.. he's talking about crash..

People should start using full names to avoid confusing , ie Crash should be Crash Into Me , i think it would be easier on everyone

I don't know many people that call 'Crash' 'Crash Into Me' though..heh

just keep on practicing, listento dave and tim, try just playing the bass notes to start, keep workin on it, itll come

and yes, i call it crash into me, hence the name that is spelled wrong

for a long time i thought that both the cd and the song were called crash, i thought crash into me was just a line in the song, didnt know it was actually the name of the song

I am working on it, I think part of my problem is that when I listen to it I keep getting sidetracked by Stefan. It makes the part sound slower than it actually is.

I had the same problem with my right hand try to work with a metronom I know it sounds boring and it is but it helped me a lot try also to get some funk book funk will get your right hand doing shit you never thought it was capable of.
