New Live At Luther College Book

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

New Live At Luther College Book

Unread post by ericwormann » Wed Jan 14, 2004 11:52 am

I know most of you are fanatically against tab books, but if anyone is interested Cherry Lane came out with part 2 of the Live At Luther College tab book with the rest of the songs the first one didn't have (with all of tim's parts):

Cry Freedom
Dancing Nancies
Halloween
Jimi Thing
Lover Lay Down
#41
Say Goodbye
Tripping Billies
Two Step
Typical Situation
Warehouse

Actualy, I have the Live @ Luther tab book, and it's the only one that is pretty much accurate. I don't bother with the others I have seen, but this one, I actualy got (but I got it before dmbtabs.com). Timmy's parts seem to be close, and they have it all tabbed out with the notation. I wish we could do it for this site as well, you know, put the notation right above it.

I thought those tabs were actually the ones written by dave and timmy? The one with the Luther College CD logo on the front of it and stuff?

I know some artists like Norah Jones have looked through their tab books with the respective companies who make them and approved them, but as far as I know Dave and Tim have no part in approving or even seeing the tab books with their names on them. I once emailed Cherry Lane and asked how they publish their tab books and they said that several people sit with the same CD's that we buy in the store, listen, and write out all the music. The tabs then are analyzed by some sort of musical grand wizards, and if they are approved then they publish the book.

heathcliff, I am actually from West Jersey, but I commute to Ramapo College.
