yeah i'm thinking its the guitar, i have a video of one of those 93 record store "gigs" and i think he was playing a yamaha, which just sounds like (insert your favorite guitar insult here) :D

Yeah I downloaded an old show from Trax in there early days and Dave didn't sound anything like he does now. I listened to the whole thing and couldn't believe how different he sounded back then.

Wellyou gain as much weight as dave did from 95- now, your voice is liable to get a bit deeper. He sounded so whiny back then, but I still love him.
