alright, me with my big head of knowledge about dmb. Here we go.
Dave's first known acting part was in a comical little film sketch, - Just Say No. He played a used car salesman. That was September 1990
Dave's second known acting part was quite a few roles in the play Spekeasy . . . the Rags of Ragtime. The audience said he stole the stage everytime he would come on. Critics said he could have had a strong acting career. He didn't do it, because he went with dmb.
Dave's little acting part - So Much To Say. As the director says in the commentary of the video So Much To Say, he said that he would ask dave to act certain ways, or pretend bird were flying at him, trying to poke him, or the ground is now like jello, and you are getting sucked in. He said that he was a natural and that he could be a good actor.
Dave was then casted in the movie, Where the Red Fern Grows. He even sprained his ankle after falling off a horse. He played the dad, I believe. The film was being completed in 1998, but they ran out of money, and declared bankruptcy. The film just was sitting there, til a year ago, someone picked it up, finished it, and it has been shown. It was shown at a small film festivle in the north-east. No words have been said about any other showings or being released on tape. Critics havn't said much about it either, nothing but, but nothing good, just nothing.
Then there was a rumor they were going to cast him in a TV movie called 48 hours. He was asked, and he said he had no clue about that.
Now, Dave was casted as an ex-con who owns a store in Because of Winn-Dixie. He even plays guitar in the movie. He filmed it in 2002 and 2003, I believe (not sure on the dates). That isn't showing signs of bankruptcy. It should come out this year.
That's the info. I need to stop with the caffeine . . . ah hell, I am gonna get another cherry coke.
