i have a dx1 and it's a great guitar. the list price is like 649 or something like that. you can get it for a little over five hundred. i would recommend it to anyone. and as for "paying for the name",that's a false accusation.Dancing Ants wrote:i've played one at Guitar Center a few times, the DX1, and dang if it isn't a great sounding guitar.

You just said why.. "i dont know much bout guitars" .. I think the general consensus is that someone who owns one, isn't knowledgable, and wouldn't actually know whether it is a good guitar or not.. people have a strong tendancy to go "MY GUITAR IS THE SHIT" no matter what their guitar sounds like.. look around, you'll never see a post saying "my guitar is awful" unless it is in jest.freshead16 wrote:wouldnt u trust someone that owns the guitar rather than is just stating what they think?
