i play that song right weird compared to dave
i watched the live in chicago video and couldnt figure out his finger positions
not that that matters though

why? it's not that hard. i admit, it can be tough at first, but it's really not that hard at all to play. personally, i agree, i think along with jimi thing, its daves best guitar riff and one of the coolest ever, but it's not that hard.

I think it is a rad riff, too. But not that hard. at first i learned it from the tab book, which doesnt show which fingers to use. i was using the first finger to bar the fifth fret, and hitting the rest of the notes. then, i figured it out that you have to use the pinky, but i didnt know about the 4 / 6 slide on the g string, so now i have it down perfectly...PERFECTLY!!!

are you serious? why do you think this riff is some amazingly difficult thing to play. it's not that hard man. i was able to teach my friend it in one afternoons jamming session. it really isn't that complex due.

well, i have heard people swear to me that they can play a dave song, and then when i actually hear them play it, i'm like....uhhh, ok, yeah..........
anyway, i guess i can see where you are coming from knowing that particular datum.

I cant remember exactly what he said but Dave in an interview one time said something like "I cant write stuff like So Much To Say anymore. I mean, I don't know how I came up with that. Maybe I should start taking whatever I was on again."

Not a quote just an approximation. I cant remember what interview either.
