Slide, Open tunings

Any body play or experiment with a slide and open tunings at all , just pick one up . pretty cool stuff.

easiest way to play a slide and look cool....we're all guilty, lol....

open tunings are for wusses, any rael professional slide player is gonna play in standard

yep, I play alot of slide anymore. I ussually play in open C(CGCGCE), but thats kinda a stretch on the strings. Open G is pretty quick to get through and sounds good(EGDGCD).

yea I do, I think when youre playing slide lead or with a band standard tuning slide is the best way to go. But i think when its just you playing with only the slide you need to use open tunings, like robert johnson and ben harper.

how do you play slide in standerd. I havnt really tried but..... any tips?

yes he could, he is the best slide player ever. my guitar has action too low for slide playing. he wins easily

Yea i know, I just figured that he wanted to get to the tuning fast, to just forego the low string, becuase it dosnt really help you when youre sliding(if your trying it for the first time). I really shouldve metioned that...but im lazy :oops:
