#41 cover i improvised

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

P.S. - if you guys wanna throw down requests for a cover song, please do. I need to get used to using this silly D1600 Recorder so doing songs obviously helps

so if you got a request, spit it out! :D

All I could hear when I listened to it was the drums, you should turn that down and turn the other stuff up. It sounded like you messed up a little in the middle somewhere but nothing major. The solos were great though man, good job, it fits the song very well.

Now where's your vocals? :)

sounds good, man. the lead parts sound pretty cool. If you get rid of the thumpy bass drum, and sing, you got a solid Dave and Tim thing going on. But as an instrumental, it sounds good too. (without the drums)

peace,
Ken
good, and you?

im downloading the song right now, so ill post a message and tell you what i think after ive had a listen. i was wondering, though, what stuff do you use to do recording with? ive been wanting to record stuff with multiple guitar parts but i dont have much equipment and i dont know where to look for a program that will let me play parts over each other, with the existing parts playing as i record lead (if you know what i mean)
any suggestions?

well i just listened through it
i guess since everybody else went off on the drums that means i shouldnt bother...just know that im with them.
otherwise, your improv soloing is pretty nice. the delay works really well at some points. keep jamming, and post anything else that you record, id like to hear it.

I use:
- Korg D1600 Digital Recorder to lay my tracks on
- Boss DD5 Digital Delay pedal
- Audio Tecnica 3035 Condenser Mic

I can't listen to it (as I don't have speakers here at work), but I want to tell you that your Calvin & Hobbes avatar kicks ass. :D

hey, that wasnt too bad. I agree, the thudding bass drum doesnt help...

also, sounds like it was recorded too low..
and with something acoustic, at least I, want to hear the nuances of the strumming/playing...

keep playing! :)
