YNK Capo Version

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Unread post by anoza3112 » Tue Jan 23, 2007 2:34 am

Hey guys i was just wondering if you've messed around with the YNK capo version and got some different chords for the "all falls down" part. the first chord sounds right to me then it sounds all off.

yeah...that part is weird for me too... i just take the lowest note i'm playing (on the D string i think...don't remember) and move it down a step every chord change. then jump down to the F chord

This is how I play it:

Code: Select all

E:-8--------------------1--
B:-x------8------8------1--
G:-9------x------9------2--
D:-10-----9------7------3--
A:-------------------------
E:-------------------------
May sound wierd, but then again, so does the tab on DMBtabs, so whatever

Anytime I play it the "all falls down" part for someone, they tell me that everything before the f-chord sounds wrong. I guess I also am having the same problem.

Save your money, buy a $99 acoustic and string raised-B. It's worth it. Capoing sucks in comparison.

That doesn't really help dude.... A free update on the correct chords sure is cheaper than a new guitar! I'd like to know the accurate tab for that part too...its my bugbear on YNK.

Code: Select all

E--8---8---8---1---
B--x---x---x---1---
G--9---9---9---2---
D--10--9---8---3---
A------------------
E------------------
or

Code: Select all

E--8---8---8---1---
B--x---x---x---1---
G--9---x---x---2---
D--10--9---8---3---
A------------------
E------------------
is what it sounds like to me

I agree that getting a second guitar tuned to raised B is a much better solution...i did it today and its great...

hope that helps
