Singing while playing dave songs

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Singing while playing dave songs

Unread post by Twostep13 » Wed Jan 07, 2004 11:45 pm

Ive been playing the giutar for about 2 years now, and dave is the whole reason i started playing....ive been listening to him for about 9 years now...i just think hes one of the most charismatic front men out there....not to sound like im blowing my own horn... but soo many people ive talked to who play dave says that they cant sing while they play it... and i have found it to be pretty easy... my first song i learned to play and sing with all the way through was tripping billies, and i learned that pretty good in a couple hrs.... i dont know if it was because ive been listening to dave so fanaticly for so long or not... i was wondering what other people think about dave singing and playing what he plays... and if you think its hard or not...

sorry about my last post, i guess it speaks for itself, but now im sobered up and can think. i know what ur saying, billies was the first song i learned too. i think that its one of the easier songs to sing to once u get the guitar down cuz ur voice kinda follows ur hand in the sense that each word has its own note to play to. dave songs definitly can be tough to sing to (for me at least) cuz his guitar and voice almost seem like two seperate songs that he brings together and sound amazing.
peace
