Yeah I remember seeing a place in the admin area where you can monitor your bandwidth. 5 gigs a month is quite a bit. I guess it depends on how many large files like songs people download from your site though.

Ahh, the daily rate, thats what always messes up the angelfire accounts. Well thanks a lot NPR, Im so happy to be rid of angelfire, and 500MB's is a lot more then they offer for storage, isnt angelfire just 20MB's? This site is to good to be true.

I got my call like with in the 30 minutes that they said. Let me know if you guys have any questions. I have pretty much been all over the admin area. The site seems to be fairly fast allthough I haven't done to much with it yet. Your subdomain address will be like this http://s93106072.onlinehome.us

I even emailed support to ask a question and the responded like an hour later. Pretty cool deal. I think that they are just banking on that you will eventually want a big plan and then you will have to pay. Besides word of mouth can be the best and cheapest form of advertising.

So they do call you? Anyway, I dont really care. If I can get a service this good for free for three years then great. Ill figure out all the specifics tomorrow and we'll see how this works, but Im pretty excited.

if you read the Terms and Conditions (T&C), it says in there that a service fee is charged

I don't see where it says you will be charged a specific fee for the free service. This is the only thing I see:

1&1 charges Account Set-Up Fees, Service Fees and Domain Service Fees where applicable.

Which is if you wanna add on Services to the package. Such as getting a Domain, or adding other services onto the plan.

Read here that it says the start up promo is exempt of there fees.

The following fee provisions and the provisions regarding payment of fees hereunder are not applicable to the extent that the 1&1 Services are covered by 1&1's pre-launch special promotion, under which there is no set up fee and the monthly fees are waived for a period of 36 months. In that case, the fee and payment provisions will apply beginning with the end of the 36 month promotion period.

takes some refreshing. i think the word-of-mouth thing is working for them, so they're probably overloaded. ;)

and they called me pretty quick...in about 2 minutes after i sent in my phone number. lol.

and i read the terms of service carefully to see if i was gonna get ripped...no fees that i could tell of. didn't want to get ripped off myself. :)

So did you buy a domain? I am gonna buy one soon.

I am working on some ideas for my site now. I wanna make kind of a fun informative site. I have had some ideas brewing for a while now.
