Look at Dave's hands while he is mast.....

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

the stone. on the listener supported dvd, they never stop moving during the verse, and they look like a bunch of snakes writhing around. and the scrunched up face he makes when he's singing makes it look like he's thinking "oh shit my hand turned in to snakes again"

the thing that really stands out in my mind, and i haven't seen him do it recently but he still might do it, is the BEAUTIFUL slides he makes up and down the neck of the guitar. If you watch in some videos, its like his wrist starts to go up for the slide, then his hand is like "oh crap i've got to catch up to the wrist"... oh such a smooth and off beat sweet way to do a slide

When i read your question jason i said SMTS to myself. then i read you're comment and was like, "yeeaa!! that's the one." i love it. and the stone too. literally those two songs, even though everyone says it are the two that stand out above all.

THE STONE, because his hand looks so much like a spider moving around on the fretboard, and

WAREHOUSE passion intro, it looks like a wave just flowing over the frets, his fingers just follow eachother in such a graceful motion, oh man, i keep rewinding that and sit in awe.

My favorite is Billies. I love watching his hands play that whole song, passion, intro, verse and chorus. His hands are so presies(sp?). If you watch the stone you'll notice that sometimes he messes up and covers it up with a mute or just some other progresion but with billies its got so much history, he's been playing it so long that its just there and does it.
I also love rhyme and reason.

Sorry, DustyDave-- didn't see you already mentioned YNK.

Truthfully, I've only seen Kanter do YNK, and never dave up close. But that video clip looks sweet! I was at the first live playing of YNK (according to nancies, at least) but in the nosebleeds... couldn't see crap.
