at my last gig and it made my guitar sound so much better. I think Im gonna buy one soon, anyone else have one or something like it?

yeah, I tried that out once, very good even with shitty guitars. I recently plugged my Larrivee with B-Band through it and wow.....yeah, I'd go for it if you can fork out the money, its a sweet deal. i want one... :)

A direct out/in(DI) changes your guitar signal from a 1/4 inch plug to a Large 3 prong mic plug. Its helpful in that it boosts your signal before it goes to the board and maintains your guitars clarity if you have a long cord. They are about $50, but you dont really need one unless you do alot of gigging. I mainly want this for the preamp, phase reversal, and a really nice EQ(i dont have an EQ with my pickup..so)

for the record the "large tree-prong plug" is calle XLR

and i use the sansamp acoustic DI which is similar and I love it. it adds a nice warm tone to my guitar

its a very old ('93) sigma (martin's subcompany) its really nice, i'd bet its better than some new lowerend martins

ive seen the xlr things on some new ibanez'z too

and the taylors with es have only xlr i beleive
