haha that might shut em up

also a sharp punch to the bridge of the nose helps.

depends on whether u want a peaceful solution or a more satisfying and rapid one. :]
at the concert i was at last year when he played sister Dave talked about how he is normally happy with just writing jibberish for lyrics, but this time his sister made him take his head out of his ass and write something coherant.

i'm pretty sure a lot of his lyrics have no poetic value, they just add to the music and the feeling. just like the scat he often does. try to take some deep meaning out of that, and you'll find yourself rather lost.
good point, but some lyrics are quite poetic and do have deeper meaning. This absolutely does not mean its true for all of his music. That is what i meant, i am very sry if u misunderstood.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to pull out the big guns and fire off some Where are you going.

In recent years it is safe to say that Dave was content writing jibberish for lyrics, starting with Everyday the album. Before that, though, you would be insane if you think Before These Crowded Streets is just ramblings as it is probably one of the most poetic and deepest albums lyrics-wise that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

Why would anyone even care if someone made fun of Dave? They are allowed to you know. JUST IGNORE IT. Don't start a fucking thread.

it doesnt really bother me when ppl say they dont like them, for watever reason, but thats their loss. but it bothers me when ppl say they arent talented musicians. sometimes its comical tho, i bet most of you have seen the video on youtube of one of carters two step drum solos. theres this kid who is is all over the comments page ripping on the band and saying how fall out boy is so much better, if u want a good laugh you should check it out.

Dave Matthews' style and lyrical approach has made millions of kids think that they could pick up an acoustic and be a rock star. His style, his attack, he's the best at what he does.

For instance, to me, Cornbread, I fucking hated the song until I heard the RC version and I was fucking blown away. The bridge/chorus, where his voice jumps an octave. It's classic Dave.

And to be totally honest, his style while not inventing the wheel has been imitated by countless individuals, his tours gross in the top 5 every year gross cashola.

Haters are jealous, fuck 'em.

P.S.

Glad to be back on dmbtabs, I've been on hiatus.
