#41 Jam
Hey all... i just had a question, After dave sings "why don't you come into the rain and play, and let the tears splash all over you" they start jamming, does anyone know the tabs for this? I'm sure you've heard the way Howie Day does it and i like that jam, thats what i would really like tabs for, just that little jam, i know how to play the rest. Thanks all!

That's how to do it, but if you want to keep the opening 2 bars a bit easier you could just do the 5,3, 5 thing and 7,5,7 thing, muting the 2 and 4. This will be much easier on your hand if you don't have the stretch down yet.DMBFreak84 wrote:its just a variation of the intro,

Also, I have to disagree with the 3rd bar...that doesn't look right. Shouldn't it be 5th string 7, 4th string 5, 3rd string 7, 2nd string 8? That's how I've always done it and I think it sounds right on.

there's nothing wrong with that third bar, and you can add an 8 on the b string if you want to, like in the intro. or you can play 0-7-5-7-8,.IronMike778 wrote:That's how to do it, but if you want to keep the opening 2 bars a bit easier you could just do the 5,3, 5 thing and 7,5,7 thing, muting the 2 and 4. you could play it more accurately than that without having to stretch at allsaygoodbyeDMB wrote:Hey all... i just wanted to say thanks for the response with the tabs i really appreciate it. But i can't get that stretch in the begining... i play it Am, bm, em, D and i think it sounds pretty good. But i guess i'll just play around with that. Thanks again!

take all your proper mumbo jumbo and shove it up your

no one else has to go with me on this but i hardly ever go by whats right. i go by what sounds best to me
for example-in soloing, i dislike people who say you HAVE to stick to the scales, when what you should be doing is playing whats in your head, as long as it sounds good
