***HERE ARE THE VIDEOS***

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

***HERE ARE THE VIDEOS***

Unread post by borocks » Sun Jan 04, 2004 4:36 pm

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, but I was given back the cable, which I need to connect the cam with my comp, just a few days ago. The videos can be downloaded now. Here are the links:

#40
intro and verse to Best of what's around
chorus of Crush, two different strumming patterns
verse of Crash
verse of Grace is gone, fingerpicked
Grey Street, normal and alternate tab
verse and chorus of Stay
every part of The Stone, alternate picking
verse of trippin billies

Once again, these videos are dedicated for the beginnner and for those who struggle with these songs/parts. It's NOT for the pros. the videos are not perfect, it'll rather give you the basic idea of it and hopefully assist you with learning the song. The way I play it can slightly be different from Kanter's tabs or from what Dave plays.

If you use these videos, please trop a short line to tell us if it helped you.
DustyDave's videos will follow soon.

hey bro, my strings are fucked up (especially the G and B), didn't change them for a loooong time. That might be the reason it sounds kinda bad. It might be slightly out of tune granted, but I'm sure everybody can play along to it pretty decently.

i just think that it might end up confusing some people because they will play along with it and will end up sounding differently

Easy there Fat Boy....If you don't know how to follow along to DMB songs then you probably shouldn't be making comments on other people's efforts to help out. Why don't you post some of YOUR videos so we can all have a look at how accurate your ear is to DMB songs.

Bo, great job on the videos you unselfishly donate. keep it up.

what the fuck man? i dont have a problem with playing dmb songs, i didn't need these videos, i just looked to see what bo could do.

he was playing the songs accurately, his guitar was just a little out of tune.

you automatically assumed that i was trying to be a dick, when what i was doing was trying to help bo. bo knows this because i do it all the time.

and i absolutely HATE the defense of saying "why dont YOU post some of your dmb work?" i dont feel the need to because i dont want to waste time recording covers when i work on originals all the time

so why dont you surf around the boards more and realize that the only reason i am here is to help people with guitar

hey ros, fatjack's really not mean or trying to put me down or something (I know him lol). He just likes to give his comment, though he knows that this thread/the videos are not for him. He just checks it out nonetheless... :)

as I said before, let's calm down, it's all good.

okay none of that prolly makes any sense, but just wanted to thank you s'all!
