If I am not mistaken, Two Step is in some form of Dm. If you can find another song that Dave plays in Dm, you can move from Two Step into it. BUT the biggest problem you will have is transitioning from it's amazing strumming pattern to the pattern of whatever song you transition into. Good luck...

EDIT: If it is in Dm, you can also transition into something that is in F (Dm is F's relative minor - They have the same notes and chords, just in a different order). The Maker (although not a DMB original) is in F/Dm.

I forgot that The Stone is in F as well, but that is a heck of a transition from Two Step...
And if you wanna be cheesy, you can just change to a different song that has the same chords as Two Step. There are plenty of DMB's songs that have at least one of the chords in Two Step. I don't think that any of them are in the same key as Two Step tho

for the stone you could try to switch to/from twostep with the Gm chord..

yeah, its really hard to make a segue for 2 songs that both have something incredibly different about them..... its worth a shot though.PlayLikeDave wrote:That is a chord both songs share, but I am not sure that it would sound the same, although a really good suggestion.shane wrote:for the stone you could try to switch to/from twostep with the Gm chord..

yeah i gave it a try, and sounds nothing alike. i also looked for songs in the same key, but making the segue work was even harder. i'd like to put two step second because it'd help in transitionPlayLikeDave wrote:That is a chord both songs share, but I am not sure that it would sound the same, although a really good suggestion.shane wrote:for the stone you could try to switch to/from twostep with the Gm chord..

the reason it doesnt sound the same is because those songs are in completely different time signatures. two step is in double time 4/4 and the stone is in 6/8, the feel of the song are too different, it would be a tricky switchUNCcrombie wrote:yeah i gave it a try, and sounds nothing alike. i also looked for songs in the same key, but making the segue work was even harder. i'd like to put two step second because it'd help in transitionPlayLikeDave wrote:That is a chord both songs share, but I am not sure that it would sound the same, although a really good suggestion.shane wrote:for the stone you could try to switch to/from twostep with the Gm chord..

Two Step-->Seek Up or vice versa
Two Step--->Heartbeat intro.
Two Step--->The Stone or vice versa. Same Dm/F configuration.
