This is the first year I've ever skipped a Dave show to work, but thankfully I was able to get a setlist and went in for:

You Never Know
Dancing Nancies
Anyone Seen The Bridge
Too Much
Bartender
Grey Street
Fool To Think
Dreaming Tree
and half of What Would You Say

and I must say that it was quite a treat. The only disappointment I had at all was Dreaming Tree. I was really looking forward to hearing it, but it was a very sub-par version. Maybe it was cause I was on the hill for that song and wasn't able to feel the full effect of the music like all the others, but it was kind of a letdown I hate to say. The whole run of songs I saw were fantastic, but if I must choose highlights, they would be You Never Know, Fool To Think, and Bartender.

HOLY CRAP that Danny guy knew how to tear it up. You could tell by all the band members that they were just being mind fucked by this guy. Dave would stop playing every once in a while and throw his arms up in the air because he just couldn't believe how great it was. Everyone on stage was giddy watching this guy. Very enjoyable to watch.

They were going to play Typical Situation after Bartender, but they probably scrapped it due to time issues. Bartender was really long, but very worth it. They also scrapped Gravedigger in the E1 slot.

i bet they play so right at the next show - here's the road page thing:

So...right here in the heart of Texas, DMB played a strong set. Danny Barnes, banjo player extraordinaire from Robert Earl Keen's band, sat in on Bartender. The band broke down the song making way for his virtuosic picking. So right then, LeRoi began playing over the banjo solo leading towards some musical banter between he and the guest artist. The weather was beautiful and the vibe was so right on. The band pulled out Fool To Think for the first time in over 3 years. It's a fast load-out tonight, so, right on to Dallas we go. See y'all there tomorrow night.

Seriously. It's still cool that they are playing at least some of it, though.

The band was lively tonight in Dallas. Starting off with A Dream So Real, the set progressively built to an intense climax of an encore. Danny Barnes sat in again, blowing us all away on Corn Bread and Lie In. The band gave him plenty of space and he rode that wave beautifully. Danny's bandmate, Rich Brotherton, skillfully played guitar on Jimi Thing and left all impressed as well. We're sad to part ways with Robert Earl Keen and his band, their music is a joy to experience. It's hard to believe that this tour is winding to an end, just six shows to go. It really does seem like we just got started. We're in store for a 1000+ mile drive to Phoenix for a show on Tuesday. See y'all then.

6 shows left? bloody hell that went quick didnt it? Hope the bust out something special near the end. Then go away and concentrate on the next album.

I know. It's boring and nobody aside from the hardcores knows it. Yet they've opened like 6 or 7 shows with it.
