I was obviously exaggerating a little bit. But 05 was awful, 06 was actually pretty good, this year sucks so far except for the return on SUAD.

This is definitely the worst tour since '05, and as Stand Up continues to age as an album, I feel that the sets should be improving, at least a little.
so what do you feel they could do to improve the setlists? which songs should be put into rotation? which ones cut? i'd be fine with never hearing another stand up song live and i'd love to hear DIDO, The Stone, JTR, Raven and Hello Again come back.
Seriously, where the hell is Hello Again? Someone needs to remind the band that it's okay to play songs that Batson didn't cowrite.

I want:
Minarets
Recently
The Last Stop
Pig
Spoon
The Stone
Drive In Drive Out
Let You Down
Say Goodbye
Busted Stuff
Captain
Kit Kat Jam
Raven
You Never Know
Pay For What You Get

Plus more SUAD, Dreaming Tree, and Crazy/Easy, Joy Ride and Sugar Will. I don't think most of those are too much to ask.

Oh I definitely agree with those. I would love to see Spoon, YNK, The Last Stop, Captain, Busted Stuff, Kit Kat Jam, Say Goodbye, Pay For What You Get, Fool to Think, Minarets, Typical Situation.

I just wish they mixed it up more. Even if they kept playing a ton if Stand Up, at least break out some of the songs that we listed every now and then to break it up a little bit.

oh yeah I definitely want Sugar Will and Crazy Easy back. But that just seems so unrealistic now.

Yeah. The fewer songs they rotate the more and more they become a true pop band. It makes me wonder why the stuff listed *isn't* played more. I'm sure some of it is because the band doesn't like a song, but that's a big list of some of their best stuff. *sigh*

It seems like they are just playing a set to please the casual fans. They just consist of all the classic popular ones.

But that's who goes to their shows anymore. Unfortunately it's what happens when you release albums like Everyday and Stand Up. If this next album is more of the same things will only get worse.

You've been to shows. It's mostly just people who need an excuse to drink eleventy coors lights, dance like an asshole and yell for their favorite local sports teams. N2 of Mansfield this year my wife and I were next to 4 people who had backstage passes, had never heard the band before and kept saying that "Brian, I think, the fiddle guy, he's good". I wanted to choke slam them.
