I have yet to hear the D&T version but have watched the new video a few times. As a long time Dave fan all I can say is bad bad bad bad bad. I guess I am missing something hear but that song is a joke. Lyrics are decent and the video is certainly creative but the song is friggin terrible. I had to check my laptop speakers just to confirm there was not something wrong with them. The song is something I'd hear the local college bar......and immediately leave. I would love to be convinced otherwise! I feel like a crazy person as I read the reviews on Itunes and the comments here. I mean I even dug standup and some devil but this is just crap.

That's your problem right there. Get a listen to the D+T version, then you'll understand why so many people like it.

I hope you're not comparing Some Devil to stand up...some devil is an AMAZING album, obviously not BTCS, but a freaking good album.

I was not comparing these albums. My point, there has simply been many DMB fans who have complained about those albums as opposed to BTCS, Crash and Under the Table which were essentially accepted universally, I on the other hand have enjoyed all of Dave's work. I am afraid that the version of Eh Hee for the music video would be one of the worst songs on Stand Up.
I really enjoy Idea of You and understand not all of his work has to or will be as good as his past albums but I hope the studio version of Eh Hee is not a sign of things to come on the next album. I just can't understand how Dave could approve of the release of Eh Hee in that video as it is so terrible......but I will hold out hope for the D&T and/or live DMB version.

I don't think I ever really heard any complaining about Some Devil. That was widely accepted as a good album by just about the entire fanbase.
