Playing guitar with Dave

You know who does invite a fan up to play is Better Than Ezra. I saw them down in Virginia Beach last year and some kid got up and played with the band for one song. I don't know what the song was, but the kid had it down beautifully...it was very cool.

I think that if there was a contest like that, Dave would pick one of his easier songs, and I think he would play with the person so just in case the occasional slip up wouldn't be so bad. And I'm sure it wouldnt be a spur of the moment type thing either. There would have to be a few rehearsals with the winner to get the timing and stuff down with the rest of the band. But its something I've dreamed about for the longest time, thats why I play with a band that does a couple of covers so I'm atleast playing a few of his songs.

what would you rather do?
go up on stage as daves special guest, or have him come up on stage as your special guest?

Trade off. We get to guest with each other.

And yea, that's how I see it. Who ever "wins" (hypothetically, obviously) gets to run through it a couple times during soundcheck then sits front row until the song comes up in the set and they hop on stage and play.

I'd do The Stone or You Never Know. Although I'm still working on some timing with YNK as well as the "All Fall Down" part. But I could ROCK The Stone with them.

I saw a Green Day special where they let a fan come up and play. It probably wasn't too hard, since it was all probably power chords. Billie Joe said, "You're sure you can play? 'Cause if you mess up, everyone in the audience is gonna kick yer ass!" Talk about motivation...
