Having one album that doesn't sell is not a problem for DMB. They make their money live. before the dmb show back on the 1st i was talking to some people and nobody really wants to hear stand up. Its funny how the majority of dmb fans don't like it. But if they fix this new stuff up a little bit, i think the next album could have some serious potential.

Yeah, but the numbers are kind of misleading. You have to consider how well the record industry was doing in the 95-00 compared to the past few years.
The record industry is doing fine. The album just didn't sell well. BTCS sold 7 million, UTTAD and Crash each sold around 5 mill, BS was about 3 mill, ED was 3 or 4 I believe. Stand Up was a huge disappointment financially in comparison.
and they continue to fill setlists with SU songs.

I'm not gonna argue with you that Stand Up was a fiscal disappointment, but the record industy isn't doing fine. The 10th best selling album in 2000 outsold the best selling album in 2006.

edit: here's a few more alarming stats
In 2000, U.S. consumers bought 785.1 million albums; last year, they bought 588.2 million (a figure that includes both CDs and downloaded albums), according to Nielsen SoundScan. In 2000, the ten top-selling albums in the U.S. sold a combined 60 million copies; in 2006, the top ten sold just 25 million.

i got that from this article:

Alright I stand corrected, but even if you factor that in, how many more copies of Stand Up does that equal if it was 2000? A million more maybe? Its still nowhere close to what they are use to.

Yeah it's most definietly their least successful commercial album. I wonder if that's why they still play so much off of it? Maybe RCA is still pushing them to promote Stand Up? I don't know.

It's ridiculous  We want to differentiate this song from the album title so.... uhhh, "for it"? Doesn't make one bit of sense, but hey it sounds cool
