What's the Taylor that Dave uses through most of the Central Park concert? It's f**kin' gorgeous!

914ce to be exact ;) and yes its gorgeous , and people have been asking about that b4 as well , Dave have been using this guitar very much since i 2001 i think , he did the Farm Aid 2001 / 2002 / 2003 with it as well , it has such a lovely sound and looks , not to mention the price tag ;)

actually im pretty sure it is a 914c. dave had electronics installed by monk i think, not taylor.

i think its a 914ce, I've seen it (well at least one of his 914's) from pretty close up and he just has black tape over the Fishman Blender and he's actually playing through a Fishman Matrix under the saddle piezo.

I believe you're correct.. he does this with all of his acoustics with already installed electronics, same with the chet.. he puts a single peice of black tape over the electronics so he can't accidentally screw it up.. I believe he just did the same and put his own electronics in

Yes, that is correct. It is a 914ce with factory electronics, and monk installed his own as well.

word. he has the CE and swaps the factory pickup for a fishman. but they keep the same preamp.
