yeah really

thes recent sets are good, but soooo similar. if they just brought back a few more songs and mixed up the closers/encores a little more, this tour could be really fudgin good

I'm so happy they didn't play this set last night.

I dont understand, you'd think they would realize that. Their catalog is so vast they could put on amazing shows every night that are very dissimilar but all equally good. I understand you gotta play the new stuff more, but you could still vary the rest of the shows and especially the closer/encores.

Of course, I guess if this were any other band, and every set list wasn't scrutinized under a microscope, and people didn't download every show, you'd never even know that each show was similar.

They played 18 songs tonight. So you gotta think they have about at least 30 songs in the rotation so far this year. I think it would be hard to have too many songs in the rotation and have everybody still be in sync with each other.

and if this were any other band...the sets would be even MORE similar than these ones, and no one would bitch about it.

dave matthews band spoiled its fan base. lol

Please, I watch Panic tour and it is fucking aesome to watch sets on the comp because they are so ridiculous with setlists. Bustouts, sandwiches, etc... it never gets old.

I'd still take these sets, pretty much knowing what to expect, than the'05 sets not knowing which SU bs you were going to here that night. And wierd Panic was brought up ^...never goes to the Panic card. 2 completely different bands and styles.

yeah, but its not any other band, its dmb. when i started seeing them in 03, i never knew what to expect going into a show. even in 05, when stand up songs made up the majority of a show, they still managed to bring out some rarer tracks we havent seen in a while (say goodbye, ykn, #34 during the summer tour; pig, recently, minarets during the winter tour), and mixed up the sets.

im not expecting dmb to pull out widespread panic type shows, but i think a ton of fans would really appreciate it (and see more shows) if they delved a little deeper into their catalog, or at least mix up where they are playing the songs they currently have in rotation.
