thanks everyone. the relation to vietnam would be that the images i have in my head are related to scenes i picture from vietname... the opening being the rice patties (spelling?) serene at dawn... the ringing dropped D would be the helecoptors coming in slowly, the music begins... the SLAMMING guitar part is a scene where men are fighting and dying etc... that sucks that you cant picture that given the subject :(

as for playing, i've been playing 2.5 years.

thanks again for the comments, everyone... the ending has been duely noted:)

it's pretty cool, but it's kinda too muddy and busy throughout the song...subtle notes often say a lot more than a whole slew of notes...this song is all about tension and the way you've performed it gives constant release. You'd do well to hold back at points and then tease w/ just a couple notes, then let go a bit if you follow...let the tension have it's hold for awhile...also, the transition towards the end from picking to strumming rhymically is off. (2:15) It just wasn't real smooth, iron that out. I could totally see the whole poetry thing going for this. It makes me think of Sojourn for Arjuna by the Flecktones. You could do something like that and it'd be sweet. yeah, other than that and a few other rhythm discrepancies here and there, pretty solid. ending could be sustained a bit more...
