What's the easiest DMB song to play?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

What's the easiest DMB song to play?

Unread post by SteelersGurl » Fri Jul 06, 2007 11:46 pm

I used to play a lot in high school... mostly strumming... I gave my guitar away a few years ago and just received one today for my BD. :) Needless to say... I'm a bit rusty, so what's the best DMB song to start off with?
Thanks!

most people are going to say Proudest Monkey, which is the easiest song to learn. You said youve played before, like strumming and stuff, learn a song with a lot strumming in it to get the fell of Daves strumming patterns, a lot different than Im sure what you played (perhpas the main chords to Billies) then go from there. Im sure other people will be able to tell you what songs you should next. I forgot wht songs I learned in what order when I started. The only thinkg I remember is that LIOG is the first song I ever learned and refused to learn anything else til I could (somewhat) play that. About a year later I learned other songs haha. IF you need help in tabs and stuff this is an awesome site. Theres a lot videos and tutorials on here. I put videos up on youtube that show how to play them (althought not instructional). Just search lalkb48 in the youtube search thing. Have fun man. Also, Giani Nitaro is good too, I know that because I slept with him and he played guitar for me the next mornig

Halloween too.

I just want to go home, pop up your profile, and get my Conan chuckle in for the day. Come on. And do you have a link with all the quotes?

Song That Jane Likes if you want to play a Dave song.

If you want to learn how he plays then Lie In Our Graves or even Grey Street would be a good one.

Actually most of the songs mentioned are hard to play and sing at the same time. When I first started I found Too Much, STJL and Crash to be fairly easy. Once you get the crash stretch down, the rest of the song is easy. Grey Street too = easy.
