Always a fan of yours Ben, especially your takes on songs we all know. This was no exception, very well done, love your interpretation, created an incredible mood that still captured the intensity of the original.
Sidenote, what's your setup for recording piano? I usually run a 1/4" out from my Yamaha digital, but I can never get it EQ-ed just right, just wondering what your setup is, 'cause your tone is incredible. (Of course, if you're just mic-ing an acoustic piano, you can ignore everything I've just typed.)

Wow! I need to thank you for that... I've spent the last 4 years going through different keyboards and recording setups, and just a few months ago I finally got the right mix. Believe me it's a real compliment being asked if it's a keyboard or a mic'ed acoustic piano.TimmyJ4140 wrote:Always a fan of yours Ben, especially your takes on songs we all know. Anyway, the secret to the great tone is stereo recording. Find a nice keyboard with stereo outputs, a recording interface with stereo inputs, and go from there. My setup is here: http://www.pezshow.com/specs.html
If you have any questions about interfaces or anything else about recording setups, SockCymbal was my mentor way back when I was buying these things.
