Ranting, I am sorry you took it this way. I said it because it was ironic - it was ironic because it was funny how some rumor could entail keeping a song on a record based on what some celebrity thinks. I also threw irony in when I hinted Good Will Hunting, both having just watched the movie and containing similar characters. I have complicated humor and I guess that can be misconceived at the expense of others...but it was just irony - I love Boyd and feel he is a great violinist. Merry Christmas y'all.Ranting Thespian wrote:Come on now, knock it off about Boyd. I am sick of hearing insults to him again and again! You know when you strike him, you strike the band. Sigh, I know this won't even make a difference, why post this? . . . oh well, I love Boyd today as much as in the past, that's really all that counts, I guess. The Man of The Hour wrote:And then Matt Damon and Robin Williams came and bitched for an hour and convinced Boyd to tune his violin properly.

I love boyd. I really cant see why people hate him so much. I mean, I neither have seen a show where he ruined it completely. If anything, Leroi gets annoting the most with him overblowing his Sax. I am not saying that I hate loeroi or anything. I am just saying there are other members in the band with problems too. Carter usually does the same fills and Stefan does that little dance thingy.

LeRoi rarely over blows when he shouldn't. And Stefan's dancing has nothing to do with ruining music or being out of tune, so I don't know where the relevancy for that come from, but each member of the band is amazing at what they do. That's why we come here day after day to talk about them...

The story is this:Granny33 wrote:yea when dave wrote it he didn't like it. he wasn't gonna put it on BTCS but ben afleck and someone else really liked it.
Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow came into the Plant, where they were recording BTCS, and heard Dave trying out one set of lyrics for Dreaming Tree. They both commented how great they thought the lyrics were. "I knew I had to change them," Dave would later say in an interview, "because if they liked them, it wasn't good enough."
That's the story, as told by Dave.
