Came across information about a band called Tribe of Heaven that Dave was in when he was a bartender before he formed the band as we know it. It was him and a fellow bartender. I don't have enough posts to post url's but if you go to wikipedia and search Tribe of Heaven you will find the information and there is a link which leads to a page that you can listen to audio samples of each of their tracks.
Thought it was interesting, sorry if this has already been addressed.

Its always interesting to find info about the band, pre-band. Its great insite to see(dave) and what the band has become. Unfortunetly, this site has become a nugget of dmb info guarded by a bunch of greedy "know-it-all" fans. This topic has been discussed before, as you've been told muliple times. Don't take it the wrong way though, there is alot of good people and great info on the band to be found here. Welcome to the boards man.

On the Tribe of Heaven wikipedia page it says that Mark Roebuck wrote or co-write all the songs except the U2 cover. So I guess this means that Mark Roebuck co-wrote The Song That Jane Likes? Interesting...
