this sounds really crisp, good vocals and guitar....my only criticism would be that there is too much distinction between the verse into the chorus...the verse is good, but the chorus seems to be over-strummed..try slowing the strumming down to a few less and see what that sounds like...overall, nice job sounded damn good

I'll agree with him completely. the cover was great except that the chorus was really hardcore. soften that up some. try to glide your fingers over the strings when you're strumming softly. it gives a great soft song.

I just wanted to comment that the recording quality was great. What sort of mics are you using? How about your set-up in general?

Great job on the song too.

RE: Setup

thanks a lot for the feedback.

i basically use a Marshall MXL1006 Condenser Mic powered by a DBX Mini Tube Pre-Amp right into the microphone in on my laptop. other than that i just plug my ovation celebrity deluxe right into the line in and record that way. usually for rhythm guitar tracks, i double the guitar (just by simultaneously recording on two tracks), and pan one hard left and the other hard right. then i slide one of the panned tracks ahead by a few miliseconds. i just love how it sounds when i do that. i use Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.

for more info check out my site: http://www.lasalle.edu/~rotondj1/index1.htm

thnaks again for listening.

Good lord....I just listened to your black cover..

Sounds fantastic... the lead is right on...vocals are good, a little mellow but I think that's what you were going for.
My only suggestion would be: the 'I take a walk outside..' part, Ed sang that with a lot of energy on an acoustic version that's out there..i think it was on mtv.
Anyway, I think that would sound great if you tried that. I do it all the time and its my favorite part of black.

Everyone should listen to this right now..

listening to grace is gone right now...sounds good so far, guitar sounds dead on except for the chorus. I would tone that down a bit.
Lotsa emotion in your voice, great stuff.

keep posting and i'll keep listening

If you ask me, your cover sounds subpar.

just kidding bro, I thought you did very good on this one. the guitar was nearly perfect, and vocals were very solid. like the others said, it sounded like a rock concert at the chorus...other than that, great job. I would definitely like to hear more from you. And yes, I am a character.
