Dave's easiest Guitar parts?
Dave's easiest Guitar parts?
Hey hey, been playing for half a year now, not so long. But i want to start off playing some DMB songs, because that's pretty much my goal at this moment, playing DMB songs on the guitar. Now, i could use some help on what songs are the "easiest" to begin with, so i can get into the whole feeling thing.
Thanks in advance =)

I'd say Song that Jane Likes.
Then follow it up with Grey Street. Once you can get that song down it opens up a lot of other songs. Say Goodbye is another good one because those chords can help lead to Two Step.
Crash is easy except it's tricky.
Or you could shoot the wad and go after "The Stone"

song
I chose my first Dave song based on what I wanted to play, not on ease. It's my thinking that if you have a song you're dying to play, you'll practice it more than a song that you are doing just to do. I started with So Much to Say. It was a while before I nailed it, but man when I did, it felt great.

I would start off with the tripping billies verse personally...just joking..
I first learned ants marching because it's fairly easy and I love the song, then I just jumped around playing random riffs of dmb songs. I learned the WWYS jam early because I love to play it. One Sweet World is easy, Dancing Nancies isn't too bad, and like the guy said before, crash is good because it will help you in the finger stretching that you will need in the harder songs. If you have a favorite song you like, I would start off with that.

i started out with.......LIOG, two step, and the stone and then moved to trippping billies and 41.....im playing around with big eyed fish and the bartender into DDTW
b4fore u actually think about what song u want to be able to play, you need to figure out what your strength and weakness. 41 and crash help the stretching.....two step is mostly the "dave chords" you will need to learn and gets your hand endurance going. figure out what u need first and then go from there
