Like i said.You can call me anything.but i'm allowed to have an opinion lol..I could care less if you think I'm dumb.Its a god damn forum....I go on once or twice a week when I'm bored.Because i like to explain my point of view. But is it really that much of a problem that i like his new lyrics? Why is that so bad? Why do you have to argue and call me stupid? Why? I come on here expecting to be able to express my opinions and i can't do that apparently. But aren't forums about about stating your opinions? Why do have to sink to an immature level to try to argue with me? You tell me that I'm young and that I'm dumb. Not trying to argue, as this truly is an opinion based discussion. Although this is also straying from the topics original idea, I just wanna get this across.

There have been a number of statements on these forums that explain why people have a great detest for Dave's new lyrics that he wrote on Stand Up. The biggest reason was that it did not compare to his older lyrics. If I recall, there was even an interview about Dave saying that these lyrics were some of his more shallow ones, or something to that extent I think. It's been a while since I've seen in mentioned honestly.

Another fact that has been stated many times is that the lyrics are fine, when you compare them to modern Pop lyrics. But as well all know, we don't listen to Dave Matthews Band to listen to pop music. We listen to DMB, to listen to DMB, considering they have had such a very unique sound throughout their career.

Also, the reason you're being picked on about this whole situation is that the way you expressed your opinion after someone disagreed with you was almost like you were forcing it. Not so much forcing it on others, but you were arguing quite a lot about your opinion itself. You didn't just leave it at, "This is my opinion," and be done about it. You practically asked for it.

Something you need to learn about this forum is that is a very laid-back forum. Don't take everything said to you so literally. I've gotten chewed out once or twice for something I said, but I laugh about it now. Anything you post on here, someone is going to disagree with. Someone will also probably crack a joke at you for saying it. Why argue? Just laugh about it and crack a joke later.

Well, hopefully I can resist myself from coming back and typing anything that long in this topic ever again.

Now, maybe we can go back to the original topic?
