some italian tune

Unread post by borocks » Mon Dec 22, 2003 10:25 am

hi guys

I always sucked in italian, had only one year in school. so this is my first attempt to do a song in italian. Since I want to get that language down too, I thought it might help to sing in it... was a lot of fun to do.

ok tell me what you think, although you might not understand much :)

YES!!! I agree.... Bella!!! Chiara?? Bella Chiara?
I dunno..
Cool song...sounds like fun to play and you did it well.

I understand a few words here and there...
'large like my world' or something....allegria...joy or something right?

umm one critique...that falsetto 3:30 was a bit off key

cool song, i might have to record something in portuguese sometime.

your rhythm is rock-solid from the start. and your lyrics sound solid, no tripping over your words (which typically happens to me when i sing in german or some language that isnt my orriginal language).

be careful with this song it sounds like restaurant / elevator music i think you could get out of that with some more variation in your voice, or with more variation on guitar... the pick scratching / high-end notes that almost every chord has really makes the song sound very dry...

but besides the dryness the song is ultra solid... the reason the dryness is annoying is becuase everything else is so good =)

hey guys thanx for the review so far
I greatly appreciate every post.

And yeah Jon, I agree the guitar is monotonous, but I was to lazy to figure out other ways to play it or little riffs... lol

Thank you all

It's not real shit, I like that song. It's damn simple, but hey I mean that's what I understand, see?

So what italian music do you recommend me then to cover?

Well...even if i don't like them, i reccomend you to play something of "Le Vibrazioni"...they're very skilled...but i think you should have to use an electrical guitar...
You can also try with something of "Elisa"...she often sings in english...
There's also the other shit of "Eros Ramazzotti" with his last song "Un'emozione per sempre"...
If you want to play somethink difficult, i reccomend you to try with "Alex Britti"...
Make me know your choice!!!!
