Hey everyone, I just got a new microphone (one that isnt a $9 computer mic) and a preamp. I have only had it for a few hours, so I am not great at all of this recording stuff, but I decided to try to play " For The Widows In Paradise, For the fatherless in Ypsilanti" by Sufjan Stevens. I don't think it turned out terribly. Would you guys please give it a listen to see what terrible recording faux pas I may have committed, thanks.

Thanks a lot for the comment! Yeah, I have been trying not to be so scratchy when I sing, but it always comes out a little bit rough.Appfro wrote:i enjoyed it. the guitar was good, your voice was good. i really don't have much to critique except it sounds like you have the same disease i do when i comes to singing...the scratchy voice. it really does work to the advantage a lot though and i think it worked well in this song. good job.
