checkii wrote:It's cool to hate on Chosta, I get it. But the prejudice that people take into his posts makes people so stupid it's hilarious to read. I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.
My teacher showed me a good exercise that is helping me, slowly, but helping. Do the same 1234 exercise, however, don't pickup the fingers at all. Keep them down until you need too raise them! Hope thats what you were trying to do, lol... Oh yeah the slower at first the better, one of the hardest things to do is slow it down!

I tried that, it's damn easy for me to do.. granted i'm not a beginer.. It is definetly a good tip though..fatjack wrote:your best bet would be to practice one of the least used techniques that guitarists nearly all but ignore:
the ring anchor and pinky hammer on. try doing a hammer on with your ring finger as the anchor.
i also found that forcing myself to use the pinky where i normally would use the ring finger helps tremendously
