help with Grace is Gone

Hello everyone, im new to the boards and was wondering if someone could help me out with this song. Im just a little confused as to where to play the this section

Does it always come in before the chorus or is it just in the first verse? Thanks a lot for the help and the great site.

first off, welcome to the boards. and i dont' have my guitar in front of me, but that looks like the verse. i think you play that several times, including before the chorus. i'm a bit unclear though of the question

that's one way to play it. The thing about this song, it's about 70% improv for the picking. You just play what you like.

for some reason it just kinda sounds and feels better. any more insight on how to place this part would be great, thanks guys.

I use the second part as well.
the ending of the first version sounds kind of weird to me..

I never use it that way. I think it sounds bad. I use C (3rd fret) on the A-string instead.
