Trippin out

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

i'm pretty sure the "~" means vibrato. like BBKing. you hold the note and roll your finger back and forth. I always thought "..." or just "." meant to let it ring. sometimes ">" can mean that too. really you gotta know the peice and what it is trying to describe. if you hear a vibrato then that's what it means. if you hear a note ringing out then that's what it means.

tab is so informal and not really at all standardized except for the 6 lines. the squiggly in regular notation means vibrato. that is like a bunch of ~~~~~~ like that only all connected.
