New info on Gorge box set

Apparently, the Warehouse is asking fans to vote on their favorite songs played during the 3 night Gorge stay in '02. This sounds like the DVD is going to be cut down and edited WAY more than I care for. Personally, I sincerely hope that all three nights are released uncut. Why wouldn't they do this? There's a big market for it (i.e., all of us)! Has anybody else heard about this, or am I just blowing steam? Thoughts, comments?

i just came on to post this. beat me
yeah thats crap, i hope they release all of the shows in full
i have no clue why they did that. but there are at least 5 very good songs per night, so i'm sure it will still be good even if its cut so much.
and wasn't this suppost to go into the theatres too. i could have sworn that the gorge was scheduled to premier in theatres.

Yeah, I heard about a theatre release too. I was under the impression that it was different from the alleged box set. That's too bad really. I remember them requesting that fans send in videos that captured the Gorge experience. So what I had in mind was this: 3 discs concert, 1 disc documentary. Damn!

how the hell can they do that? we've only been waiting for a three disc box for 80 thousand fucking years, then they bail on it. and how bout all the dmb fans not in the warehouse and the ones that weren't at the gorge.....

I guess I can take comfort in the fact that I was there and the memories were great. That was my first live DMB experience, how lucky was I?! I too am pissed off about it, and I feel upset for those of you who weren't because it was great (not trying to rub it in, honestly). Maybe we could all send angry emails and see what happens?

Well, glad to see that you had some good suggestions, with the exception of SMTS and Nancies (jk). Hopefully some of you voted for that entire encore on night 3; Long Black Veil was friggin awesome w/just Dave and LeRoi. Yes, Loving Wings would be great and I'd love to see Stone pop up on DVD again. Bartender on night one was fantastic. I just hope, like many of you, that they don't re-release a lot of songs (i.e., DDTW, SMTS, Too Much, etc). Still, DAMNIT!!

all of those songs have been on live DVD's already...
wheres the love for You Never Know, Dreaming Tree, Cry Freedom, and a few others that slipped my mind

argh. that disgusts me. i've been saving up to splurge on that 3 Disc Box Set, but now it's just turning into a 1 Disc Edit Fest.

I knew from the start that it wouldn't be ALL 3 SHOWS... I'm not saying it can't be done, but its not the most marketable thing

ok, all of us fan club members need to send an email and tell them we want ALL three shows...not one dvd with "clips" of the shows!! I'm sure that wont do much but you never know. ahhh this is terrible! This is a big let down people!
