dmbtabs.com not working!

Unread post by TalkingNeurons » Wed Feb 18, 2004 8:24 pm

This is getting pretty frustrating because this site is the only site I go to to get DMB tabs. I consider it the best.

Anyways, the problem. Every time I'm on the home page, my internet locks up and that annoying "not responging" message appears. Does anyone have any idea on what's going on??

Mozilla. I used to be able to come here all the time, but now it's acting all queer.

That is based on the Firebird browser , which might be a good browser , but its not fully compatible like Internet Explorer is :)

Actually, Firebird (firefox now) is the compatible browser. The Gecko engine (the engine that renders for Mozilla and Firebird) follows all current web standards, as established by the World Wide Web Consortium. Microsoft, on the other hand, has shown a complete disregard for following standards, and thus MSIE does not follow a single standard. You can looks this up, it's documented pretty heavily. Whenever I code my websites, I strictly follow all web standards; my sites always function properly in any Mozilla browser. Whether or not they break in IE, I don't really give a damn.

You can see the validation of dmbtabs.com right here:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... +Europe%29
THAT is why dmbtabs.com doesn't work in Mozilla.

Woohoo! Dig-up-old-threads day! :)

Netscape is dead, in case you weren't aware - Mozilla is basically the continuation of Netscape engine development. And recommending IE over Mozilla is just plain wrong. :P

Anyway, I bugged Kanter enough a few weeks ago to get him to fix the offending portion of the HTML code on the site that was invalid, and thus causing Mozilla to crash. This problem doesn't exist anymore.

The last release of Netscape was 7.1 on June 30, 2003, about a week before AOL Time Warner announced that the Netscape project had been disbanded and all of its programmers laid off.

Any other release is not actually Netscape - perhaps Mozilla built from source labeled as Netscape? Who knows.

No it said Netscape but it was probably last June I'm thinkin.... I am sure you're right. I just DL it and it works alright. I thought what you meant by dead was there were no working versions out there. Thanks for the info though TB;)
