Drop C tuning

Whats an easy what to get to drop C tuning?

if you don't have a chromatic tuner ... tune your top string to the c note on the A string -- that's the third fret. Make the top string sound like that note and you have drop C.

if you take your top string and drop it and then fret it at the 9th fret....it should be the same as an open A string

i like the 3rd fret way myself. if you know how to tune to Drop D with the open D, tuning to the 3rd fret of A should be no problem.
