D+T SeekUp

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

D+T SeekUp

Unread post by fraggle » Mon Jan 13, 2003 11:34 am

I am a little confused on the Tabs here for Seek up. The verse seems like it should be along the same lines as the intro. How the heck do you get the verse to sound like the intro based on the tabs here?

Thanks!

Paul

it sounds like the intro if you strum it correctly. its hard to explain, but the reason it sounds like the intro is because he'll play it just like he plays the intro, only he's strumming a chord instead of picking the notes. sorry i have to be so vague, but i cant seem to think of any way to explain.

I play the verse like this:

10-8-x-7 , 8-7-x-9. in the L@LC version, the intro (fall back again...) and the chorus (forget about the reasons.....) are the same. the verses are just the two chords I showed here - although the second there is different than Kanters. I just prefer playing this one. and yes I half pick/half strum the strings/chords on the verses and the chorus and of course the intro. I love this song.

peace,
Ken

It really did take me awhile to get this song down - the timing and the strumming rhythm for instance. It'll click. the way I learned was to keep playing along with the L@LC version until I got it to sound like it. I pretty much learned them all that way.

good luck with it
