i'm not a bass player, but my friend is, but hes not any good
we've been trying to play some stuff, and i wanted to try JTR with him
i found a bass tab on the net and was wondering if any bass players out there could give it a shot

I used a tab just like that when fire and I were thinking of doing a joint thing on JTR.. I used a octave shift pedal, as I don't have a bass (at least until I have another $500 to blow

), but here is the drum+bass track that I did with plenty of mistakes but it lays it out if your friend hasn't a clue how it fits in..
