Tone-Wise : DM3MD vs. OM-28 JM

Unread post by Sheesh » Mon Jan 26, 2004 2:26 pm

Unfortunately, no guitar stores in my area have either of these guitars, so I'm going to have to choose one based purely on what I've heard and the opinion of the guys here.

I've heard and seen Dave play his DM3MD, and I've seen and heard John play his OM-28. Frankly, I think John's tone is alot richer and fuller. But I'm sure as to whether this is based on the quality of the bootleg, differences in playing style, or is actually the guitar.

Anyone have any opinions? I love both of these guitars, and I'm just having trouble choosing one. All help is appreciated.

it depends on what style you play, since they are two different styles of guitar, and certain styles will fare better on each-

As Tom posted above, it all depends on what exactly you want. John's is a grand auditorium, while Dave's is a dreadnought. Two entirely different guitars.

I'd say get both if you can.

Flatpicking and strumming, DM3MD
fingerpicking, OM-28
