Ibanez AW100 or Taylor 110?

Unread post by myonlybliss » Sat Jan 10, 2004 12:59 pm

I have a Taylor 110 (just bought it) but it is difficult to play. This seems weird to me since guitar magazines and websites (acoustic guitar mag for example) have raved about the sound and excellent playability of this guitar. The action seems a little high and it's hard to play. And the frets are rough (sticking out) when you run your hand on the outside of the fret board. I would take it back but it seems like most of them feel like this.

Anyway---the Ibanez AW100 seems easier to play but definitley doesn't sound as good. Any recommendations?

Take the 110 to a guitar tech and get it set up. They'll lower the action, and I'm not sure what the problem is with the fretboard, but whatever it is, if it is a problem, I'm sure they could fix it.
