Squeeky Fingers

Unread post by GreyStreet41 » Thu Dec 26, 2002 5:13 pm

Does anyone else have or had problems with "squeeky" fingers? On songs like Grey Street, Tripping Billies and Lover Lay down(to name a few) it sounds like I'm killing a mouse and it really drowns out the music sometimes because of the squeeking when I slide around. Anyone have any tips to prevent this? Cuz it's really annoying. :x

we've all experienced that i think. keep your strings new, buy new ones every now and then. and i think that there is a spray that you can buy to go on the strings that help them slide better. and i'm not sure exactly what kind to get (so ask someone other than me) but the kind of string might make a differance. try steel strings if you dont have them. i know it's not much, but i hope that helps a bit

I do not think there is a way around that for the most part, but it can be kept to a minimum with practice.
