I'll Back you up??

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I am having a bit a trouble with this song, it feels really empty, any little pointers for this one would be greatly apreciated.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

I used to play it like this before I found this site:

Code: Select all

E:--x--xx--x--x--
B:--x--x5--x--5--
G:--6--44--x--4--
D:--7--22--4--x--
A:--7--xx--4--2--
E:--5--44--2--x--
Some of the x's could be -'s but I didnt feel like getting to technical. This is a tab I found on some site before I came here, it doesnt sound bad at all and its what Im used to playing, I am trying to get to play kanters version instead but I guess I havent really tried to hard to learn it. I also have my own version of the solo ( http://www.dmbtabs.com/boards/viewtopic ... +back+solo ) but both of those are just personal preference, play it however you like it, hope it helps.

Sorry, should of been more specific, strumming-picking. I can not figure it out.
