Two Step Outro D & T 2003?
How do you play that end? Daves part mostly like on 3-28 and 3-29 that very chunky rythm what is he playing?
It's the same as the fill..it's just a different rhythm. most of the stuff you hear is coming from timmy. there is a tab on here somewhere for it, ill try to find it for you
Code: Select all
Bridge/Fill
E:-----------------------
B:-----------------------
G:-10----10--10--10--10--
D:-x-----x---x---x---x---
A:-8-----x---x---8---8---
E:-10----6---8-------10--

Peace, I was there for both shows! That irrelevant information aside: Dave just switches to a chord progression based off the regular rotating bass note line he would usually play. It sounds like he plays something like Dm (10-12-12-x-x-x) then Bb (6-8-8-7-x-x) and then C (8-10-10-9-x-x) and repeat ad infinitum. There's a lot of muting and trapping to get the percussive sound and the actual progression is played with a lot of spontaneos variation. Then you mix in whatever the hell Tim is doing and it's something awesome as usual.
Sometimes I drop down and hit x-10-12-12-x-x while I'm playing the Dm for a little flavor. The key is really the muting/trapping mixed with the driving rhythym.
Cheers,
KB

yea, i was at the 3/29/03 show, obviously cause i live in boone. he's just playing a little variation on the regular fill. he may have changed it up for the 28 show, i don't know, but this the fill is what he did in the 29 show. the site has what he does. as well as what timmy does, it's pretty awesome. here ya go, enjoy.
